2. Variety

  • Vanilla planifolia — Indonesian origin (Bali, Java, Papua)

3. Moisture Content

  • 25–30% (for gourmet beans)

  • 18–25% (for extraction grade)

4. Vanillin Content

  • Minimum 2% (can reach 2.5–3% for premium grade)

5. Length

  • 14–20 cm per bean (premium grade: 16–20 cm, uniform)

6. Color & Appearance

  • Dark brown to black, oily surface, flexible (not brittle)

  • No mold, no cracks, strong natural vanilla aroma

7. Impurities

  • Maximum 1–2% (dust, fibers, foreign matter)

8. Grading

  • Grade A (Gourmet): High moisture, shiny, supple, strong aroma, uniform size

  • Grade B (Extraction): Lower moisture, suitable for industrial extraction

  • Grade C: Lower vanillin content, mixed sizes (upon buyer request)
